Purpose: A couple of taster sessions to explore the potential of philosophical conversation within the learning programme of the gallery to open in April 2011.

Future Visions of Margate

Participants were invited to explore from their own point of interest, to listen closely, suspend judgement and to engage with new perspectives, whilst identifying the assumptions that underpin them. All the while, acknowledging the value of Aporia, the ancient Greek notion of uncertainty.

Following a stimulating taster session with members of the local arts and education community, we held an inquiry for a group of local teachers to generate feedback on the process of inquiry in a conversation about what the gallery might bring to the town of Margate.
